"Many thanks for your input on Memory today, and how to use memory pegs and tricks to improve our learning. There were a number of very helpful tips which we will reinforce with the children tomorrow and see what they remember. I particularly liked the use of the first letter for remembering the snowman poem, and it was amazing how much that simple system helped with the lines. Also, having an image on which to "hang" numbers or other pictures is very effective. I was amazed by the number of children who remembered the poem, or parts of it - a very effective technique which I will be using myself when appropriate. Helpful and good fun, we will be trying to create these pegs for x tables facts that are more difficult.
